My cat has not eaten or drank anything in the last 24 hrs... I even tried him with Kitty Milk this morning and he is just not interested
He normally gets so excited when he even sees the bottle of kitty milk. He also is sleeping a lot I reckon has slept for almost 24 hrs... and is not interested in a cuddle at all....He is about a yr old or slightly less as I got him from Rescue so am unsure of his exact age... should I bring him to vet today..??? Or hold off for another day and see if he changes....

any ideas or coments greatly appreciated....

I would take him to the vet as soon as possible. It's never a good sign when kitties stop eating and drinking, and it could be a number of things.:vibes:

well AJ has been to the vet. she thinks he has infection as his temp. was a bit up and he is out of sorts...

she gave him injection of slow release Antibotics and another to improve his appetite...

He is now fast asleep on my bed and has still not eaten or drank.

6 pm this evening he is to get some cooked chicken and hopefully he will eat this...

If no better within 24 hrs have to bring him back.. so fingers crossed
he will be back to normal soon.

You are doing a very good job caring for your AJ. Sometimes cats get a virus/infection of unknown origin and it lays them low for a few days. I've seen it several times in my household. Cats seem to know what to do - plenty of rest, skip food (though they shouldn't skip water) and lie low letting their body heal. It's always best to take them to a vet, however. Did she give him subq fluids or wasn't he dehydrated? Being given subq fluids can really make a cat feel better and improve their appetite. Hopefully, the antibiotics and appetite stimulant will do their job over the course of the day and you  will see AJ moving around, nibbling at his food, etc. as he starts to feel himself again.

Feel better soon AJ! :vibes:

If it is an infection, it couldn't hurt to get him a lysine supplement and some kitty vitamins. Hope all goes well for you and your kitty.

I am glad your cat went to the doctor.  It is never a good sign when they quit eating and drinking.  He is blessed to have you taking such good care of him.  Keep us posted.
