Hi I hope someone out there could help me.  I live in a condo and there had been a stray cat around and I fed her and this has been going on for 2 years.  She had kittens but only survived and she brought the kitten around.  Our outdoor cement stairs are hollow on the inside and somehow she had the kitten under the stairs and I tried my darndest to catch the kitten to no avail.  Well here we are a year later the 2 cats had babbies and the worst part they had them together under someone else's hollow stairs and the woman just thinking the cats just go under there she doesn't know the kittens are under there and she blocks it up and when I saw that I went mad so scared that all of them would be marooned in the stair cavity.  I moved the rocks and finally saw the 2 mother cats who I feed.  I am going to be in such trouble when the association finds out about all the cats.  The kittens are newborn so it will be awhile but what the heck can I do?  Thank You.

Bless you for taking care of these feral kitties.

Personally, I found a feral mommy outside and she brought her kittens around too (last year). I wasn't sure what to do so I started feeding them and left them outside with the mum. It's best to either leave them with their mommies until they are old enough, or take them in and bottle feed them, IMO.

Make sure to get both mommies and the kittens spayed and neutered eventually, try looking for a low cost clinic. Try to get the kittens adopted when they're old enough.

I haven't had much experience with newborn kittens, but I just thought I would share some basic stuff with you.:D

WELCOME TO TCS!!!!!!!!!!! AWW Bless your heart :heart3: I really think at this point - they all will need trapping. IF you don't stop the breeding, it will only continue and these new kittens need to be sterilized as well. I would start looking into a TNR organization (Trap-Neuter-Return) and see if you can get some advice. If at all possible, the mothers and kittens should be trapped and put into a foster situation. There are feral foster volunteers in my area but that doesn't mean that is the case in your area. This is a very tricky situation because you want the kittens socialized, and the sooner the better. Otherwise, there will just be more feral cats/kittens to socialize. In the past, I trap the mother cat.... then collect the kittens. Then get them set-up in a very large crate or cat playpen. This way you can start socializing those kittens at age 3 weeks and most shelter's will willingly take in the weaned, socialized kittens. Then mom can be spayed and returned back to her territory.

I know this is quite an effort, but you will be saving lives. I always try to educate people about feeding feral cats. IF you feed, you must take responsibility and get that cat TNRd. Otherwise, they will breed and bring their young to you, the feeder. Best of luck and please keep us posted. I am sure other's will have some suggestions for you as well. Thank you for caring for the stray and feral cats :heart3: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
