Good morning folks,

*** Can someone please do my Thurs question of the day? I'm in the midst of moving and my internet will be off for a day or two***

Toys:

What is your cats favorite toy? Is there any toy you'd recommend, or one you would advise against?

The milk rings are a favorite of both of my girls.  Cheap toys!!

I think Noodles' favorite toy is daBird though.  She isn't allowed time with it unsupervised though.  She'd kill it super fast.

Those catnip bananas are the best; my cats go crazy for them! 2/3 of my cats also like feather toys like "da bird" (Lucky is terrified of them though! :lol3: ), and they all like laser pointers! I honestly think my dogs enjoy the laser pointers just as much as the cats do. :)

Drinking straws tied in a knot, those sparkly pompoms, and the plastic springs. Also catnip mice, but they can't have that plastic form in the middle--soft mice only! They like toys (like Rosie Rat) made of real rabbit fur, but the dog eats them! :lol3:. So no real fur around here.

Maia is obsessed with the ear plugs that are attached by a string....She goes crazy with  them! I can't tell you how many times I have put them back in her toy bowl and within an hour they are in the middle of the living room! She digs them out of the bowl and drags them out in her mouth making these bellowing cries, its hysterical!

Hammie's favorite toy is a stuffed mouse, that he carries around 'singing' to, and then he drowns it in the water bowl! I heard he does this to show ownership of the bowl...

Zorro doesn't play... he's old and grumpy...

Skippy's favorite toys are area rugs. He likes to go running full speed and dive underneath them, and hide. That's all! Just dive and hide...

Tiger doesn't play much... he just likes to be held and lay in the sunshine.

Keyser's favorite toy is a long black satin string, about an inch thick; he confiscated it from my daughter's bedroom (I think it was a belt?) and will drag that thing aaaalll over the house, beating it up, chewing it, attacking it... strings are a cat's bestest friend.

My cats LOVE the springy toys... Robin gave them to my cats as a gift and are Perkins absolute favorite!!! Pipsqueak loves those little fluff, cotton balls with catnip. He carries them around mewing and wanting to play fetch. :lol3: They also love those small hair ties for ponytails. They always end up under the fridge, stove or washer/dryers  :wavey:

Hands down, it's Da Bird. The kids just love that thing. I keep it in the hall closet and Mollipop will often sit in front of the closet door and meow at me to get it out for her to play. And once it's out and flying around the living room, the other cats will join right in.

As much as Tabby loves Da Bird, though, I think her favorite toy is a little stuffed mousie that we buy from Foster & Smith. They come 48 to a pack, so we always have a few mousies that I can throw around for her. Her favorite is a little grey mousie without a tail.....she ripped the tail off and she carries it wherever she goes. And when she loses it, she'll meow and meow until I help her find it again.

I recommend the Frolicat laser pointer. Affordable and worth every dime. Both my cats love love love it. It takes 4 AA batteries so I'm gonna invest in 8 rechargeable ones.

When Daisy was a kitten she loved the Panic Mouse but in the mornings I'd find it tipped over and she was fast asleep as it was going whrr whrr. Panic Mouse made an improved model and named it the Panic Mouse 360. From the looks of it, the 360 can't tip over like the original but I haven't seen the 360 in person.
