We recently acquired a stray momma kitty with 5 gorgeous kittens...within 15 minutes of getting them, I noticed some odd markings on the babies' skin...took them under the black light and they glowed bright, neon, apple green- ringworm!

Lucky we noticed it so soon...we were able to quarantine momma and kittens and de-fungal everything (including ourselves) before any other kitties came into contact.

The babies are almost 2 weeks old and everyone is extremely undernourished. We are using the ointment on the bitties and Momma, but worried about how else to safely treat them.

Any suggestions?

Ah, this is a tough one, ringworm is not fun.  Some strains are worse than others.  If left untreated and the cats have good quality food, they may recover in a few months on their own.  Treatment is tricky with young ones, there are a few prescriptions your vet may be willing to try, but you will need to talk to her.  If they are malnourished you may need to wait first.  If you have carpets use a vac with bags and throw the bag away, otherwise it will spread through the house when you vacuum.  Also, if you have carpet you will greatly benefit from a steam cleaner.  If tile or such then bleach with 1:10 ratio and rinse.  Treat as a contamination zone.

We have only tile/wood and there is both a bleach and a de-fungal foot bath and de-fungal sprays both just inside and just outside the door :)

So far the kittens and momma appear to be gaining weight well.
