Hey guys, I posted my intro thread which you can read here if you are interested...

http://www.thecatsite.com/t/243737/im-allergic-but-diving-in-this-should-be-interesting

As mentioned in that thread, I'm allergic to cats, but found myself not to be allergic to this breed and hopefully it will stay that way. I would just like to hear from other Siberian owners, if there are any others here on the board. I'd like to hear what I'm in store for, lol. Maybe what you believe some specific qualites of the breed are, the size of your Siberians, what you feed them, toys you offer, and just anything else. Pretty much I'd just like to hear all about your experience with them so far. Here are the latest pictures of Clancy. We will be picking him up on June 7th!

The TV show, Too Cute, recently featured a pair of Siberians who had kittens. However, daddy Siberian, who should've been the father, apparently wasn't--it may have been the "handsome black cat next door". LOL!  Mommy had such cute black, with a tiny bit of white, fluffy kittens.

The narrator said that Siberian dads usually help care for the kittens.  This one did, too--even though they were his wife's love children by another man!

Your kitten is just precious!

Funny you mention this.  I believe my Baylen has quite a bit of Siberian in her.  I went to one website awhile ago and the picture of the kitten looked exactly like her.  She is the only one of my cats I can have around my face, the others give me hives.

She is almost three and just keeps getting bigger.  She was always petite but now she is bigger than her sisters.  She is not affectionate since she constantly grooms herself.  In her life, she has never had one single mat in her fur.

Part of her is not Siberian.  She is not very adept at jumping or landing for that matter.

Thanks guys! Surely on this site there are other Siberian owners. Is this breed still that rare, or is it the cost of them? We certainly aren't rolling in money, but my wife wanted a cat back in her life and I wanted to make that happen for her.

Yeah, I have been told it takes longer for Siberians to reach full adulthood - up to five years. It's amazing how much Clancy has grown. The pictures I posted above were him at 8 weeks, here he is at 4 or 5 weeks. We think he is going to be on the larger side of the breed, lol.

Very cute congratulations. Don't think there are any other Sib owners on here though your breeder will be able to help you out with any questions you've got.
