It's been about 3.5 months since I stopped getting on here, but I'm back and most likely for a good long while. =P Anyways, I was thinking we were going to get a cat last time I was using this site, but my mom said that was definitely not happening so I gradually stopped getting on here. :( I even asked for a cat when my parents asked me what I wanted for my graduation, but I got the same response. Well, guess who brought home a mewing little ball of fluff two days ago? My mom. =) One of her coworkers had a cat who just had kittens five weeks ago. A few days ago, the mama cat was taking a stroll in the woods and was attacked by a fox. She didn't get away. =( This, of course, left my mom's coworker with seven five week old hungry kittens. So for the next few days, she, bless her soul, fed them kitten milk every few hours until they only had to have milk a few times a day, along with taking them all to the vet to get their first shots. She then rounded up some of the kittens and went to my mom's work, giving them away. My mom then fell in love with one. :p

So, now that we have a 6 inch long blue-eyed calico kitty stumbling around the house, I decided this was a great time to start using my favorite cat site again. ;D Trixy, which is what my dad named her, is given a serving of Hartz kitten milk each morning. http://www.hartz.com/Hartz_Products...milk_replacer_for_kittens_liquid_formula.aspx

(I was somewhat nervous about this, since I've heard some scary kitty stories from cat owners that's used this milk, but Trixy is acting perfectly fine and really loves it.) And mushed up Purina One kitten food throughout the day. http://www.purinaone.com/products/c...lthy-kitten-formula#ingredients-and-nutrition  My mom was about to start her out on Meow Mix kitten food, but I gave her a lecture about all the corn products and animal "things" in M.M. =P I know, the Purina isn't too much better, but it's the best walmart had. =/ At least Trixy loves it. (I mean LOVES it. lol) After this bag is emptied, my mom ok'ed moving to 4Health All Stages cat food. WOOHOO!!! http://www.tractorsupply.com/dry-ca...eZip=37110&ddkey=http:LocationBasedPricingCmd  Yay for healtier kitty food. =D

My goodness I need to stop talking. Oh, just a quick question. Trixy is a fine healthy kitten, but she seems to have some sort of eye irritation. My dad said it was common in kittens, but I was wondering if any of you all have any info about it. I'll post the question in the kitten or health section as well. She doesn't seem to be badly bothered by the irritation, but her eye is constantly watery with some eye "gunk", and she doesn't seem to keep it as widely opened as her other eye. We're going to try this cat eye rinse that Tractor Supply carries once they get a new shipment in Wednesday. If that doesn't help then she's going to the vet. Any information or whatnot is much appreciated. ANYWAYS, I'll shush now. I'm just glad to be back!!

I'm not sure about her eye though.  Definitely post in the kitten care section or even the health one about that.
