My sister in law was 30 weeks pregnant and on saturday she started to bleed heavily, she went to hospital and they found out that the placenta had ruptured and they gave her an emergency c-section. baby Jacob was born 3lb 8oz. My sister in law has only seen him today for the first time, she lost a lot of blood and is very tired and emotional. She lives about a 2 hour drive away and lack of funds mean that we can't visit her at the moment, my mum in law has been there and said that the baby is as small as my sis in laws hand. He is doing well at the minute and they expect him to be in hospital for 10 weeks or so.  I feel so much for her, I have had 3 healthy pregnancies and children, it must be terrible for her. I know that TCS vibs are very strong and have worked wonders in the past so just asking for a few please.xx

What a horrible experience! Praying for her and the baby. Hope he gets bigger soon and he can go home with his mommy.

I'm sending huge amounts of prayers and vibes to your sister in law and baby Jacob.  Also sending many vibes to the medical staff who are working hard to help him.

Lots and lots of :vibes::vibes::vibes: for your s-i-l and the baby. Our neighbor's daughter's baby arrived over two months early, also due to a split placenta. He was barely 3 lbs. and in the hospital for 8 weeks, but is thriving now. :cross:

Thank you to all of you, my sister in law is a bit of an emotional wreck at the mo which is understandable. They have discharged her today, I can't believe how quickly they have really, she wanted to go home for the fact that they put her on the maternity ward where everyone has their newborns with them and it was really upsetting her but she also wants to spend every minute she can with Jacob. She held him yesterday and sent me a picture, can't believe how tiny he is. I am going to try and save up so we can go and see her, she really needs people around her at the moment.x

Oh hun, I'm so sorry! Gary was actually born around that time, and weighed about that much.
Many vibes all will be fine!!!!
Thanks hun, that's reassuring to know, I have told her that they can do so much for tiny babies nowadays.x

Praying for her and Jacob.  I have a girl I went to school with on Facebook who had twins at 32 weeks last December.  There have been bumps in the road but both boys are doing great right now!  They really can do so much for them!

And with DD I was also "alone" on the maternity floor since she was in the NICU.  I could hear other babies cry during the night.  I also didn't get to see DD till she was 22 hours old.  It was hard; but fortunately all of that is a distant memory now.  And DS's recent birth was a completely different experience for all of that!  Instead I got to be "scared" of rooming in with him 24/7!
Keep us updated if you don't mind!

I am sending mega prayers for your nephew and your SIL. I have been in that boat. My youngest weighed 3lb 6oz when he was born. He was due 3/15 but he decided that he would try to be the first baby of the year. His plan was foiled and he showed up on 12/31 at 10:33 pm. HAPPY NEW YEAR! But it didnt feel like that at the time. So pray hard and pray often...I did a lot of that. My son is now 27 and is 6'1" and 225. It's not always hopeless when a baby is born so very preemie. I would like to think that my son's experience (and other preemies) so long ago has helped pave the way to help our littlest ones get the best care that they can now.
