For a couple of weeks I've been noticing a little bald spot on Lucky's back, and now it's big. At first I just thought it was from age, but now I'm worried. He has a history of getting into fights and he has had abscesses before, usually on his face though. When I took a close look of it, it looked a bit swollen and there was a tiny, tiny little sore.
He's otherwise healthy, but he does have FIV. I love him sooo much and I just want him to be okay. :rbheart:
This little guy has had to go the vet several times due to his injuries (They LOVE him there, and he loves all the attention. Plus he loves being in the carrier, hehe). He is neutered, by the way.
If I have to take him to the vet, I will. Just kind of stumped as to what it is.
Thanks for reading! :wavey:

It seems to have swollen a bit more and it's a bit more red now. Any opinions?
It could be any number of things, so IMO it's time for a vet visit for Lucky; especially with his compromised immune system due to FIV.

Might I ask (and please don't take offense
), how does he have the opportunity to get into fights, given his FIV status and this being the major way it is transmitted from kitty to kitty?

Oh I forgot to mention, he's feral. He's a very friendly little guy though, and I'm currently transitioning him to be in an indoor kitty with my kitten Cookie (with LDG's help :D). He's outside at night and there's another cat named Bam Bam whom he fights with once in a while. :( I try my best to make sure this doesn't happen.

I'm going to give the vet a call and see if they can give him an appointment for Monday morning. :D

Well that 'splains it.

Aw, so awesome of you transitioning him to be an indoor kitty. I'm sure Laurie will be loads of help, so you're in great paws...er...hands.
