I want to start weighing my cats kittens she had last night, but some look a like... How do I tell them apart in order to weigh them daily and compare their old and new weights?

Have you picked them up and had a really good look? Most times, there is something that can tell them apart. I've had black ones before but one had a white spot under the one armpit and different sizes of patches. I make up names like "Star nose", "White left armpit", "Orange dot on back". Eventually, they get real names. Not too mention, you may have three black and one is a girl, so it's "Black girl". I had five orange male tabby kittens once...yeesh..now that was a nightmare. I used a different colour marker and used it on the tip of the ear. So I had "Green Ear, Black ear"

You might find that at least to start with their weights differentiate them.  I've heard of coloured nail polish being used - just the thing for the boys!

A common way is to set colour on these who may be mixed up.  (in some breeds, say russian blue, ALL must be coloured)

Some use a  color fabric around their neck.

You can colour one ear, and if needy, renew the colour every day, if it is a easy washable color.

Many do set human nail color (sorry my english, but you do surely understand what I mean) on one of their nails.  That is the most common I think.

Be careful to use a color which is poison-free.  Some are.   Although small kittens, unlike adult cats, dont chew on their own nails, so this danger isnt too big.  But I saw this warning somewhere.

Good luck!

Another tip if you have just one good color, colour different paws on them.

One color works this way for four different kittens.

Congrats for your gorgious little ones!

Good luck!

I took Levi68's advice and really gave them all a good look once I knew Mama was comfortable with it! Which wasn't til today... Hehe I figured let her sniff my hand, show her I am picking up a baby, let her see I'm weighing it, showing the babe to mom, then putting it back and letting her sniff me again and then start over with the next... So it seems she is content with me weighing them now. I was asking for advice and thoughts on how their weights are... It is in my thread With the pictures that I posted on this thread yesterday. And thank you everyone :) I appreciate the help... I really do, this site is awesome!! So glad I came across it and joined.
