I love crochet, but so far only did extremely simply projects, like simple afghans or scarves. Getting into granny squares now, and have a nice pile already. I know how to make a simple one, multi-colored or same color. I also learned the pattern with the circle in the middle. Would love to try some more patterns, but they need to be fairly simple!

Would love to see crochet projects pictures here, especially your granny squares - or if you know of a good and easy tutorial for a new pattern, please post me a link here - thanks!

Unfortunately I don't take many photos of my crochet projects, so I think this is the only one I have. I like making granny squares, but I haven't made anything with them yet. I'd like to make an afghan just like the one you pinned. It was gorgeous!

I tried to teach myself to crochet a few years ago.  I didn't get too far before I was going cross-eyed and my fingers were cramping.  I was getting the idea; but I had to concentrate too hard I guess.  I know I started from an online tutorial; but I dont think I have it saved on this computer.  I will see if I can find it later.

If I lived closer to my Aunt I'd ask for lessons.  Shes one of those people who can whip out a baby blanket before you can blink.
She always has a long list of people to make them for.  Both my kiddos have a few blankets from her.  We brought a nice one home from the hospital for each of them too.

The only granny squares I did was the one with the circle in the middle.  I just kept making it bigger and bigger to fit the bed, then trimmed it in fringe.  They also make good sofa spreads in winter.

I really like that Isabella blanket!

I'm working on two projects right now, one will be a baby blanket and the other, hopefully, a bed spread.

I'll try and take some pictures and upload them.

I know how to make both of these, but no others. I actually learned from a couple of Youtube videos.

I just put together six squares for a baby blanket - my first ever granny square project! I used white only for the squares themselves, and mixed both of these square patterns, three of each. Of course, with my ADHD, I ended up not putting them together in the order I was going for
I think it still looks nice though - working on the edges now. I'll be sure to take pictures and post them here when I'm done.

BTW, anyone up for a crochet group here?

I love that! No idea how to make those though. The only kind I know how to make is this one
The first one I posted is the same as that one with the exception of a single crochet between each of the triple ones around the circle.  Just do the crochets all next to each other, and then

Oops sorry! I posted a link to the wrong one.  The one I know is the one you posted a link to.  But the one I posted a link to looks similar.  I imagine that it's just missing the single crochet between the triple ones around the circle. Not sure what "stitch" that is around the second circle though. But the rest looks just like the standard stitches from the square you linked to.

Love the colors! I'm working on a blanket of solid granny squares, but the colors aren't much fun (it's a gift for someone and it's the colors of his choice).

I haven't crocheted in quite a while, but I was never a fan of granny squares.  I don't like making them, and I really hate joining them all together.  I like making afghans, but I like to do them all in one piece.

Thanks, I've been through Youtube now and have made several. I really like the colours in those squares too
