Last night is going to be a night to remember. Recently, I have been reconnecting through Facebook with several of my old friends from the 70's. Last night I actually had dinner with 3 of them (and the 18 yr old daughter of one of them) We laughed so hard remembering the days when we where young (and skinnier, LOL) We stayed in the restaurant for about an hour and half and then talked outside on benches for almost another hour and half. The daughter had so much fun learning what her mom was up to in the 70's. 2 of the girls still live here in town and the other one lives a few hours away. We have decided not to lose contact again.

Aw that sounds like fun!!  My mother has reconnected with a few girls she played with as kids because of Facebook.  I think that is also where she got in touch with a girl she was very close with who was an exchange student in their school years.  I love Facebook for that.  It's brought me back several friends from my own school years; though it's not been as long for us.  It's mostly sweet because they are Mom's of small kids and most of my other friends I'd not lost touch with are not.

Over the river and through the woods...
That's great!! Glad you had such a great time, and I bet your friend's daughter got an earful and is looking at her mom in a different way now. Of course, now her argument will always be "but, I KNOW what you did when you were younger!".
Your friend is probably cussing all of you about now!

I got back in touch with a few friends from high school through facebook and did get a chance to go to dinner with 2 years ago. I admit, I was nervous as hell! It sounds funny, but the last time we saw each other was back in the early 1990's when another friend got married. So, since she's married with 2 kids (one with special needs), I was worried about what we would talk about. I don't know why I was so worried because we didn't shut up the entire night....it was a blast and it ended too soon. Its just sad that she lives out of state (like most of my friends from HS), so we have to keep in touch on facebook.
