I have a couple of cats who pee standing up, right in the wall, and a couple of others who are big time diggers and will put half the litter on the floor next to the litter box. So I've finally decided to get some totes with tall sides to use as litter boxes to stop these issues. I got two different totes and both were really not good for the purpose. The bottoms of the totes aren't flat but have ridges and indentations along the sides and it's a major pain in the behind to get pee soaked litter out of there. I ended up having to use a small spoon to scoop it out. It took forever to scoop those boxes.
But I finally found some plastic totes that work great. They are from IKEA and are called "Snålis". They are white totes, a bit bigger than standard litter boxes but not by much. The height is perfect to prevent peeing on the wall and the bottom is completely flat which makes scooping it easy. They are also pretty cheap at $4.99. I think you can order them online if you don't have an IKEA nearby. I highly recommend them for people who have wall-pee'ers
