Although she doesn't mind you picking them up, don't keep doing it.  Tiny kittens should be sleeping or feeding most of the time.  Once a day, quickly to weigh them, is enough in my view until the can see and hear.

Awe so sweet! The little grey one looks like the little grey kitten Aphrodite that I have right now when she was born! And the second to last looks like a gorgeous dilute calico like my Stella! Love their precious little faces!

How do you know they don't have worms?  Sometimes one has no idea with an outdoor cat (especially one that hunts) until they sick up a pile of roundworms.  Safe effective wormers are cheap, I would treat as a matter of course.

You can worm the mother immediately with Milbemax.  It is vet-only in the UK, and the dose depends on her weight.

You can worm and should the kittens them younger than 6 weeks with Panacur - it's licenced for use from 2 weeks according to the FAB who are very reliable.

http://www.msd-animal-health.co.uk/Products_Public/Panacur_2_5__Liquid/090_Product_Datasheet.aspx

Puppies and kittens under six months of age:
2ml per kg bodyweight daily for 3 consecutive days given by mouth after feeding to unweaned animals or mixed with food for weaned animals directly before feeding.

(= 50mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight daily for 3 days).

Practical dosage recommendations:

250g 0.5ml daily for 3 days

500g 1ml daily for 3 days

1kg 2ml daily for 3 days
1.5kg 3ml daily for 3 days

2kg 4ml daily for 3 days

Kittens typically reach 250g at 2 weeks old - my last fosters were all 250g or more at 11 days.  This was a litter of 5.  They need worming more than once - i think 2 weeks, 5 weeks and 8 weeks are recommended.

You can buy the Panacur on-line in the UK without a prescription, but make sure you get the right one.  The suspention comes in two strengths and getting the stronger one by mistake would leave you with problems measuing a small enough dose accurately.  There is also a paste but it doesn't give a dose for a 250g kitten in the data sheet.

thanks for advise , sorry aint been on for a few days been really busy , smudge is still doing great even though now she not with them all the time she like her little brake so what we do is when the kids get up we put mummy and kittens up stairs out of the way and when they go bed bring them down then she can still have a wonder round house and keep an eye on them , there all gaining weight , the blonde one is the biggest at the moment also i noticed the tortie is the smallest so i'm guessing she is the runt of the litter but i always see her feeding and stuff , maybe she aint going to be a big cat when she gets older ... but otherwise all is well , smudge is trying to get out but not letting her till after she has been spayed do not want anymore and i'm keeping one of the grey ones and she is getting spayed when she is old enough
