So a little over two weeks ago I got a rescue shelter to take her kittens. She stayed around for a few days, then I didnt see her for about three days, so I took down the tarp by my porch and put everything in my garage. Every once and a while I would hear a meow in my backyard and I looked in my garage, but she must have been hiding. Today I looked through the window in the side door and to my shock I did see the mama cat sitting in the garage. The first thing I did was run in the house and get a full can of wet food and cup of water. I had to run out for 20 min and when I came back all the food was eaten up. When I opened the garage, she would not come out for like 45 min. She kept climbing and running away, even though the entire garage door was opened. Eventually with some sliced turkey I got her to come out. Hopefully she did not get sick from this. She is staying around, like she normally did, and she let me pet her and she rolled over on her back, and is acting like nothing ever happened. She does feel a little skinny, but I do not see any outward signs that she is in pain, or anything bad going on. I kinda after the fact also wished that since I knew she was in the garage and ate today, that I should have gotten a trap and put food in it. My plan the whole time was to try to get her in a trap after I got the kittens a home to get spayed and adopted, or at the very least just spayed. I am just really glad that I saw her today, because I do not know how much longer she might have been able to last if I did not see her in the garage today. Silly cat. Not sure when she even went in the garage, but it must have been when I opened it and I wasn't looking.

WOW- I am stunned... poor Mama... thank goodness you saw her. I am so happy to read this news and just hope that she is alright. IF you can pet her and she rolls around, then I wonder if you can get her into a medium sized carrier to get her to the vet for a checkup and to be spayed. I would not wait another day. You can easily start feeding her inside a crate with the door propped open. Then when she goes in to eat, shut the door and off to the vet you go. She might be dehydrated too. I don't think you need a trap since she is so friendly. Much luck and so happy that she has been under foot the whole time. Must have been her meowing :sniffle: AWW she must be so hungry and thirsty. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

The thing about the carrying case is the one I own is not that big, and when I tried to get her out of the garage she was on the top of a ledge and I tried to coax her into the carrier with a piece of turkey in the back. She goes in but leaves her behind out. I guess I could purchase a longer carrier. I hope she drank some water at least. She ate all the wet food, but I would also like her to drink plain water. Not sure where she is now, she was around for a while, and I know this time she is not in my garage. She will be back again I'm sure. I knew that something had to have happened to her, because even though she is a stray outdoor cat I found it very odd that she just stopped coming around for food one day.

I am thinking she was able to get in and out of your garage somehow. She had to eat/drink something for these past two weeks - I don't think she would be well at all without food/water for that long. So I wonder if she has a way in and out :dk: THat is a great sign that she went into the crate to eat so IF you can get a larger sized carrier then you will have her easily. Maybe you could borrow one from someone? Good luck and I hope you can get her in for that spay soon :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
