Since the day is coming up, I am wondering:

Do you do anything for Mother's Day/Father's Day?

My thoughts are with those whose parents have passed on, my question is still the same.

My dad died 2years ago, and on Fathers Day, I honor him by visiting his grave and thinking about the happier days.

For Mother's Day: I usually get my mom a plant of some kind (she loves gardening) but since she's moved into a rental now, I don't know what I will do. Perhaps a small bunch of flowers.

My daughters generally try to spoil me, bring me coffee, make me meals, etc. :) It is very sweet.

We'll more than likely be visiting both of our Moms the night before, taking a plant and card.  Dave is working Mother's Day so that his female assistants can have the day off.  Looks as if I'll have the day to myself.

I normally get my mom a gift and visit her, but this year I don't know. She will have just got back from a cruise and will probably be tired and I don't have money to go visit her (we live in different cities). My dad died almost 5 years ago, so nothing for Fathers Day.

I send my mom a card and flowers on Mother's Day, and my dad a card on Father's Day.

We always give both of our moms a card. Last year we all went to my mother's place and my sister and I cooked for everybody, but I don't think we're doing that this year. We may take a small cake up to her on Sunday night.

I've never met my father. We did exchange brief messages through Facebook a few years back, but it was strange and awkward and he stopped writing back.

I have a tradition now with Mom where we go for Mother's Day pedicures. (On me of course.) It's a good time of year for it and it's bonding time. Plus she really enjoys it. I usually bring my Grandmother some flowers too.

Larry's mom has passed. We usually don't see my mom on Mother's Day since we just visited with them at Easter :lol3: Will probably do the usual going to the Nursery to get plants for my hanging baskets :clap: :bigthumb: A gift that lasts all summer long :heart3:

Same for Father's day, but we usually go shoe shopping for Larry :lol2: We don't see his father - he lives so far away but see him over the Holidays. I see my father on other occasions too. So I guess we just spend the days with each other and not the parents. :D

:hugs::hugs: I will send you Mother's Day wishes, Libby :D :clap::clap: :heart3: But you won't be totally by yourself, you will have your wonderful furbabies doting on you :winkblue:

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: I believe that it is his loss, not yours, hun. You are a very special person inside and out. :heart3:  :bigthumb:
