My girl Saphire is most definately pregnant and i estimate its approximately 8 weeks since she was in season and driving us all mad. She is 18 months old and a dainty little thing and while i know she is old enough to carry im a bit worried about her size. after palpatating her abdomen i think we can expect around 3 kittens give or take, does anyone have any advice for making sure she is fit and healthy in this last critical week - ten days?

Just like for women, care of pregnant cats starts before they get pregnant - at the very least their shots should be up-to-date, and they should be wormed.  It continues by making sure they only mate with a known healthy male, and knowing what the first day of mating was so you know what their due date is...

Worrying in the last week or two is a bit like giving up smoking and junk food when you are 8 months pregnant.

Very true said.  You can at least ensure her first rate food from now on. Say kitten food of good quality.

Read all about delivery you can find, make sure you know where your vet is, both his normal phone and emergency phone. Also where the emergency vet is.  IF you happen in a emergency, you will be stressed and in hurry. No time just for searching. Just for doing.

18 months is a good time to do it, if you really want a litter. So dont worry about this. and many females are petite, and still make it well.

Who are your cats? Saphire is one, who is the other, the tom?  Are they russian blue of sorts?

Good luck!
