I haven't posted a lot here lately.  My old computer wouldn't load the pages well after the site changed.  I have a new one now and am back to post her.  Just wanted to say, my wonderful husband has cataracts removed from both eyes now.  His left one was done last week and he did have complications.  The pressure went up to 32 in his right eye.  We ruined the doctor's day off on Friday and Saturday.  He prescribed an oral antibiotic and two more drops to keep the pressure down.  He thinks hubby is having a reaction of the steroid drops and it is causing the rise in pressure.  But there were no problems this week with the right one because he was already on the medicine to control the problem.  Glad to have this over with.  Now just a matter of putting drops in the eyes all day long for a month, but we can deal with it.  Has anyone else had this done and how did your surgery go.

I had cataract surgery in both eyes a few years ago (they did it 2 weeks apart).  No complications and the change in vision was amazing.   Colors became so much more vivid.     Did the whole drops in the eyes for the prescribed period of time.

2 years ago I had a partially detached retina in my left eye.   Required surgery and all is fine now.    Dr checks it every 6 mos or so.

Lots of healing :vibes: for your husband. My in-laws have both had cataract surgery in the last few years (my f-i-l just after last Christmas), with no complications.

Hope he feels better soon!

I had an infection in the cornea of my eye several years ago.  The doctor said it was from over-wear of contacts.  It was about a month of 2-3 visits to the doctor every week, going for special tests to be sure it wasn't something behind my eye, and lots of drops and an ointment.  It took that whole month to get my vision to clear back up in that eye.  Everything was sort of wavy/blurry.  And it hurt to do much on the computer or read.  It was a long month; but I'm glad it was just a simple infection too.  I did need to keep up lubricating drops for a while; but that went away too.  Unfortunately contacts have not been as comfortable after that; so I haven't even bothered in a while.  I only miss them when we are doing pictures or I need to dress up for something.
