What do contractions look like?

Look for loss of mucus plug and for milk coming out from her breasts (white powder once it dried). Both things together usually mean labour in less than 24 hours.

You'll know, her tummy will ripple, tighten and contract. Milk doesn't always appear before birth, you also might not notice the plug depending on how carefully you are watching her.
