Stress Test

Paul had the stress test today.  Dr called this evening to say there is an inadequate supply of blood to the heart and she wants  him to see a cardiologist.  He may need to have some sort of procedure done, but we'll know when we see the cardiologist.    I know these are sometimes almost "routine" procedures but of course it's very upsetting.      Will keep you posted.

I'm sorry to hear that!  But its good they caught that before something happend right?  I'll pray it's something minor at most!

My husband went through all this last year.  It's VERY upsetting and VERY stressful!

It's good they caught it now, rather than later.  He'll probably have a heart cath where they'll look at all the vessels in the heart and then decide if he will be helped by stents or if he'll need to have bypass surgery.  It's also possible they can do angioplasty and open up the artery.  Until he has this test, don't do anything extremely stressful and start preparing for a change in diet (low salt, low cholesterol).
