Question of the Day: Sunday, April 22

So, last night my MIL had a little family get together in honor of my nephew's 11th birthday, and after dinner he wanted to play Scrabble. It has literally been YEARS since I played a board game (or any game for that matter that does not involve clicking a mouse!). I didn't realize how bad I had gotten at spelling (thank god for spell check!). Needless to say, I lost but a good time was had by all.

The question is, do you enjoy board games? When was the last time you played one?

Occasionally. "Taboo" was the last thing I played, right before Christmas. It's a favorite at school - we have the English, Spanish and German versions.

My husband and I play Scrabble, but it's not pretty. We play for blood and it can get ugly sometimes. It's probably been a couple of months. The last game he beat me....badly. But in my defense, I was ahead by quite a bit. And then, in the last play of the game, he was able to use all seven letters. On a triple word score yet. He got almost 100 points and the points on my tiles to boot. (He manages to do that often, so I can be 200 points ahead of him and still don't feel safe.) The screaming was heard on Pluto.

I'm a scrabble freak, and used to play all the time with my ex, but unfortunately, my cats aren't that into it.  

Yes I like it!... last time was in last september.........we usually use those board games when we go at the beach because doesn´t take the TV in those place.....

I love board games!!!!!!!!! I still play Sorry :anon: One of my favorites. Scrabble and Balderdash also.

It's been a couple years but I do!  When DH and I were dating one of our favorite things to do was get friends together and play board games.  Uusally silly ones; like LIFE.  For our wedding a friend of ours gave us the new version of LIFE and Twister!

I do. I haven't played any in awhile. I have Sorry, and a couple versions of Cat-opoly.

When I was a very young girl, a family moved in the house across the street. The oldest boy (he was one year older than me; I was going into sixth grade and he was going into seventh grade) and I seemed to hit it off and we became good friends. Turns out we both loved to play Monopoly and that summer, we had a Monopoly game going for weeks. Ran out of money and had to make our own. I eventually lost, but it wasfun while it lasted. He'd come over around 7:00 in the morning and call me through me bedroom window. I'd get up, grab a quick shower and such, and meet him in the carport to continue our game. He usually ate dinner at our house and we'd end up playing that darn game the entire day. (Yes, we had no life.) Gosh, that was a lot of fun. I've always been a big Monopoly fan.

LOVE board games! We often go next door to my aunt & uncle's place to play with them. They have more board games than I can count, seriously. My favorites are probably the Trivial Pursuit games, but there are a few other newer games that are REALLY fun when played drunk! LOL
