Pet food companies stepping up! Transparency, at last!

Seven pet food companies have created, or are in the process of creating, "Pledges" that publicly list and guarantee the quality and country of origin of every ingredient in their pet foods.

This is the kind of information we've been pushing for, brought to you through the efforts of hundreds of letters and emails, the court of public opinion, and Susan Thixton of TruthAboutPetFood.com.

The seven companies who have offered full transparency into the quality and origin of their pet food ingredients are: Honest Kitchen Pet Food, Lucky Dog Cuisine, FreshFetch, Nature's Logic, People Fud, Raw Health, and ZiwiPeak.

That is great news and thanks for posting this!!

I have only heard of three of these brands, so it gives me incentive to look up the others. And hopefully more companies will do the same - i would love to see the prescription brands attempt it..ha

If you don't mind me asking, where did you come across this "pledge"? Online, on tv? Besides this site and a couple of pet nutrition sites, I am not sure where to obtain cat news and great breakthroughs like this.

Interesting.  Just yesterday I rec'd a bag of frozen raw from Nature's Logic, and right on the front, one of the bullet points was "no ingredients from China" , so I can personally attest to this
