I hope she is gonna be ok

Thus is a bit graphic but I don't know anywhere else I can talk about this. My cat evidentaly hadn't lost her mucus plug, she was passing a kitten that had only developed for a few weeks. It's all out now. I'm gonna see if I can find an emergency vet to deliver the rest of the kittens. I am just a bit scared at the moment. She seems fine tho.

It happens now and then, cats do deliver 2 entirely different litters, both alive and healthy. NOT often, but not exceptional unique either.

If you are sure everything was out, and especielly your cat seems just fine - you are sure about it, you prob dont need any crash emergency abortion.

Do contact your vet, by all means. Do it.

but with a little luck I suspect she can go on.

OR, you can abort them to be sure, or by any other reason, etc, but you dont need to pay for a crash emergency, just pay for the common spaying/abortion.

Although it is better to do it now.

Why do you want the rest of the kittens delivered (aborted) now?  Cats do sometimes abort one kitten and continue successfully with the rest of the pregnancy.   She might lose the rest, she might not.  I would ring the vet and discuss it with them.

BTW do you know what date she first mated?

I must have mis spoken, I never wanted thee kittens aborted. They were just over due. So the conclusion to this is, 1 under developed kitten was passed and I took her to the vet. They did an xray and she had one other kitten, fully developed. I delivered it this morning and it didn't make it. Here's the freaky fate thing. As my mom got my text about the kitten, her co worker Hung up a call where her husband told her the stray they took in was hit by a car, leaving behind 5 kittens, that r just now 5 days old. I told them to bring me the kittens and I would see if Lucy would care for them, and if she didn't I would bottle feed them myself. Well, that was 8 hrs ago and she hasn't left their side. She is nursing all 5 and doesn't like me picking them up! She has officially got herself five happy adopted babies!

I used the 'aborted' word as it struck me if the kitten she delivered was underdeveloped the rest would be, and it was too early to deliver them - in effect it would be an abortion.

So glad the adoption has worked out so well.

I see what you mean. Without being graphic, turns out 2 were underdeveloped. They were conceived at the same time, they just died and were in there with the other kitten. Which maybe y the full term kitten didn't make it, dunno. I have never dealt with this before, such an unsuccessful pregnancy. However if the kitten had lived, she wouldn't have taken these orphan kitties. Weird/happy ending
