hi!  i was just reading up on this product called kit4cat sand.  it is used to take urine samples from cats but it appears to work much easier than the nosorb.  you can only get this product from vet clinics... but i am wondering if anyone here has ever tried this product and if so how it worked for them? any info would be appreciated! thanks!

I'd never heard of it before, but after looking it up I'd say it certainly looks interesting. One of my cats gets crystals, and we've had to collect urine samples a few times. This product sure looks easier than holding a little container under the cat while he pees! Yep, done that and been peed on....

i think it looks interesting, too. just having a bit of trouble finding a vet who actually has it.  this is a part a senior scan (blood work) my cat got, and she didnt want to go in the no-sorb. the vet gave me a tiny container for her to use...  cant say i blame her.  my other cat used to get crystals and finally after getting blocked so many times he had a Perineal Urethrostomy surgery (P.U). that was years ago and hes been super healthy since. If ur cat gets too many, id consider getting the surgery for him.  but make sure you have a dr who has plenty of experience with this kind of delicate surgery.  ...and i wish i could hold a pee cup for her... would save me a lot of hassle.  but shed freak out if i did that!
