Luna has Luxating Petalla in both her back legs. Most of the time she's fine, but every once in awhile it bothers her and she will limp, or fall over when she pounces. Anyone know what joint supplement would be the best for her? Also it would have to be a powder to poor on her food, she won't drink a liquid or eat it even in the form of a treat.

I have used Cosequin in the past for Pipsqueak. And I think it might be something you could try for Luna. It is in a capsule form and easily pulled apart to sprinkle on wet/canned food. No bitter taste and the cat's seem to eat it right up. I am sure there are many joint supplement products out there to choose from. I also used to use Cosequin for the horses. It does help some animals and other's makes no difference. You just have to try them and see if you notice a difference. For Luna :rub: :vibes::vibes::vibes:

I'm going to try this too. My cat Skitty also has luxating patellas, and had surgery on one leg - which failed. Good luck with Luna.

I'm not too familiar with this topic, however I do know one treat that you may fine useful Zukes Cat Hip Action. It contains glucosamine and chondroitin (very good for joints). Here's the link: http://www.zukes.com/meow/hip-action.html.

I fed it to mine for a short period and they loved them

This may be completely unrelated, but I figure I'll mention it anyway. If a cats diet is rich in fish, it can cause stiff hind legs due to the high mercury content. It happened to our senior kitty once, every time he went to jump, his back legs would collapse or shake when he landed. We stopped the fish and he was instantly better.

All the best
