As its coming rather quickly to the summer the question is

Are you having a summer holiday this year? If you are where are you going?

in a few weeks, I will be going to Disney World. Not quite a summer holiday, but the only trip I'll be taking this year. I can't wait!

We have a week off the end of May and one weekend we'll be going to Halifax for the Maritime Tattoo Festival. The rest of the week we'll probably go camping.

Not really; I'm a lecturer, but I'll be going back to school as a student in the summer. Total bummer for me!

For the first time in many years we're actually spending a vacation doing something with just DH and I. We're going to spend our vacation on the US east coast. I have a meeting in Philadelphia, so we'll start out there then travel to the Baltimore/Washington DC area and end up in Williamsburg, VA.

I live in the area.  You going to see the historical area?  Or are you going to do Busch Gardens/ Water Country?  Been to both- actually have had season passes to both.  We've gotten more uses out of the Busch Gardens/Water Country passes- but I have teenagers and they'd take that over history any day LOL

Personally I love Colonial Williamsburg.

No real vacations for us.  We will hopefully take the new baby to see my Grandparents out of state this fall.  DH and I are undecided if we will go visit his family this year.  I'm not sure about traveling with 2 small kiddos.  It's been hard with 1.

Nothing planned for going abroad because l've got so many functions this year,  along with 4  weekends in London and Edinburgh and a wedding. And if we have the TCS meetup in Leeds l have that as well.

I've never known such a busy year socially. I've had to turn down two because their on the same dates as other functions l'm going to

I hear you on that one.  BTDT just way too many times.  IL's are 12 hours from here.  Try doing it in a station wagon with 2 carseats crammed in the back seat.  And the baby's crying b/c she wants food NOW and dh refuses to stop until we hit a Wendy's..................

It's an adventure

We tend to take weekend trips. Rick and I are going to the Fiesta tent sale in West Virginia in June for a weekend. We're hoping for a mini-vacation to the Finger Lakes area later this summer with my sister and BIL to hit some of the wineries in that area.

But the big trip (for me) is when Rick will go to Oregon for a week in September. I'm really going to try to go along with him! I've never been to Oregon and my fondest wish has been to visit the Pacific Northwest area. I'm so scared of airplane travel that I've stayed home when he goes out there. And I'm tired of staying home. I'm going, darn it!!!! It will take a lot of drugs and alcohol to get me on that plane, but I'm going!

We are taking a short trip - six days - to Sedona, AZ then driving through Moab, Utah on our way to Evergreen, CO. My FIL will be doing the driving ... we then fly home from Denver. Looking forward to seeing Moab. Other than that we are going to Door County in September for a week. Will bring the dogs with and stay at my brother's house up there which is near my parent's home.:clap::clap: I do not like leaving my kitties though. BUT momma needs a break once or twice a year.
