So recently, I have been eating healthier. Going organic, avoiding things that are bad for me. (Aspartame, Caffeine, Cows Milk, & basic junk food). My goal is to be healthier and also feel better, this being said- Has anyone had issues when transitioning to healthy food. So I have been drinking Soy Milk, eating organic food- and just healthier food in general.

I have been vomiting after nearly every meal- and I wonder is this normal? I think it may be just that my body is retaliating because I am not putting junk in there anymore, and it is ridding itself of toxins? Anyway, was wondering if this is normal or should I get this checked out?

I am going to go completely vegetarian, right now I've cut out red meat & pork..

No don't sound right...thinking you could be allergic to something maybe?  I have been vegetarian and drank soy milk worst I had was gas or constipation.

I'm not convinced that soy milk is healthy. . .hormones and all. It's also a bit hard on the digestion (soy in general). Try almond milk or flax milk.

But, no, vomiting is never normal unless you have salmonella or morning sickness (hmmm. . .:D).

Soy (anything) is not really healthy and actually can do more harm than good. In addition to being hard to digest it also blocks your thyroid temporarily and can give you problems digesting gluten.

I cut out as much soy from my diet as I could, most days I don't eat any but there are times for me when it's unavoidable. I also cut out almost all processed foods, I make my own bread and pasta, and as soon as I get my pressure canner I'll be doing even more. I feel a lot better.

I would guess that you have an allergy to something you're eating/drinking. If your soy intake was low before and you suddenly increased it that may be what's causing the trouble.

I'm with nerdrock. I tried soy as a protein option and found it really upset me.. I seem to have sensitivities to it.  But even if you don't, it is really important to go for non GM, organic products as there's a lot of rubbish soy out there.

There's also such a thing as detoxifying too quickly, and that can make you feel awful - nauseous and quite ill generally.

On the other hand, my cat vomits if I change her diet... Maybe you're just turning feline

LOL maybe so!!

I think its more of the detoxifying thing, detoxifying too quickly. I feel a lot better today (no way I can be pregnant) so maybe it has passed, we will see.

Good luck to you! I am a vegetarian myself and it took an adjustment, but I am confident not as bad as you. I am now working on becoming vegan. I just have to cut out my cheese -- otherwise I'm there. I have switched from cow's milk to rice milk & butter/marg to the vegan alternative. That didn't add much to the conversation but good luck! I feel for you!

Vomiting is not normal.  Go back to your regular diet and see if things improve.  It's never a good idea to make such drastic changes all at one time.  The ideal way is to introduce something one at a time, over a period of time.

Count me in on the anti-soy train.  Soy is a major allergen as well, so that could be affecting you.  Good luck in your journey to health!
