how do i prepare a cat nesting box , and what kind of light do i use to keep the new born warm , and is infrared can be used or other kind ... and plz post me some pictures
A cardboard box lined with some newspaper and washable bedding (fleece is best, not towelling as little claws can get caught) works just fine. She may choose her own nest of course!
None of the litters I have fostered, nor any my friends have had have needed any extra heating. Mum will be in the box with them and keeps them warm. The only time we've had problems was a friend whose BSH used to have her kittens all over the place and not settle down to clean & feed until at the end, and she had huge litters. So, we popped them onto a heatpad as they were born.
