Just wanted to share a new pic of sweet Lacey, rescued a week ago after she was found rooting through a neighbor's garbage cans. Also wanted to request some vibes for Lacey as she's dealing with some health issues. You may recall that Lacey is front declawed, but not fixed. Our vet estimates she's had several litters so was likely used for backyard breeding. She may also be diabetic (follow up testing is planned next week), has a UTI and enlarged kidney. None of these issues are life-threatening, but we need to address them before having Lacey spayed. Meanwhile, she's getting the best of care and receiving lots of attention from the volunteers at the rescue. She's a sweet, gentle girl and such a trooper.
