Firstly see if you can get the Purina on the Internet, or ring the person you got the kitten from and see if you can work something out there.

Secondly visit the vet.  The kitten may well have worms, or some other intestinal parasite.

BTW How soon after arriving did the runs start?  If immediately then I suspect the kitten had them before you got her.

The food CAN do it, but that's not the only possibility.  A better quality food might help, but just like humans, kittens can be sensitive to various ingredients, most notably grains.

But I would have the vet check very carefully for other problems, such as parasites, coccidia, giardia, etc.  Those are all treatable, but they can cause a kitten to crash very suddenly.

A switch to a soft food might help, in the short run, too.

I agree, it could be the food or a tummy bug. I have found with my own cats, that by taking away their cat food and giving them boiled chicken and some rice cooked in the water that the chicken was cooked in helps to clear up any runny poop in a day or two. I keep them on this for 4 or 5 days just to make sure and then gradually introduce the cat food again. Hope this helps and goodluck. If it does persist a visit to the vet is a good idea.
