We have four indoor cats. Last night I was petting Panda, and I found what I think was an engorged tick on his neck.  I decided I would take him to the vet this morning to have it looked at and removed.  But guess what, this morning the tick is gone!  Besides being freaked out about having ticks in the house, do I need to be worried about Panda at all? Do you think I should I still take him to the vet?  We will be thoroughly vacuuming and washing the bedding (as he slept with us most of the night). Any other advice?  Thanks.

This has been the worst and earliest season for ticks and fleas. I would get your cat's on Revolution or Frontline right away. Don't give anything over the counter. I am completely freaked out over ticks, a huge fear :cringe: I can handle any other bugs, really, but ticks make my skin crawl. Just vacuum and vacuum like you are and wash bedding. Get the cat's on one of those products from your vet. I am worrying about the same thing. I have indoor only cat's too, but two dogs who go outside and our back yard is along the woods. I am sure you are not alone with this problem and other's will come along with some more tips. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
