My name is Danielle. I am new. Sallie Mae adopted us when we moved in our house. We just brought our first house January. Well put the offer in. Closed on February 21st and moved in that weekend. Well, as we moved in there was Sallie Mae laying in our living room. There was cat flaps into the laundry room and garage so we figure this cat belonged to the previous owners. The previous owners are in Japan, but we waited didn't keep her locked her let her come and go and she always came back. Mainly because my 2 younger children were feeding her tuna and shrimp. So I finally admitted we are keeping her and took her to the vet in March. Well, she was pregnant. She delivered April 8Th Easter day her 5 kittens. So my household grew. LOL!

Now the funniest thing about Sallie Mae is when we moved in we moved in with a Yorkie and a lab two dogs that did not bother her, frighten her, or cause her any alarm. My dogs sniffed her and started playing with her. She sleeps with the dogs or the kids in turn. I have 3 children one of her is special needs and Sallie is just wonderful with him. So we have a huge family now. There is me, my husband Richard, Our three children Robert, Ryan, and Aubrielle. Then two dogs, Jessi, our black lab, Rebel, our Yorkie, and now Sallie Mae who is a Tabby mixed with Calico, and her family of 5 kittens. We are naming one R2, one OJ, one Easter, not sure the other two yet.

Welcome to TCS!  I guess you could consider her quite a house warming present!
I'm glad you are able to take care of her.  Poor girl!

thanks everyone! She was a wonderful house warming present. She is my first cat since I got married 12 years ago. My husband is allergic to cats. He takes Claritin so he can breath. lol. She is wonderful and we are going to try to find good homes for her kittens but if not they are welcome to join the family too. I have a feeling we are keeping R2

Hi & welcome to TCS!  You guess had your  own little welcoming committee of one when you moved in. How sweet. I'm glad you kept her & are caring for her.

Poor girl, being pregnant & all!  It's nice to hear that all the pets are getting along. that's wonderful.  You will defiantly have to post  pictures soon. "We love us some pictures on this site!" Welcome!

A hearty welcome, Danielle and crew! My goodness, what a wonderful family of 2-legged and 4-legged varieties.
Nice of you to receive your "house warming" gift(s) of Sallie Mae and then babies without question--warmed my heart as I read about this. Some might have tossed her out to fend for herself, but not YOU! Very inspiring! What a blessing on all fronts, and so happy Sallie Mae and babies have found their furr-ever home.

from me and my sweet bubbies, Abby, Maxie, and wee little Miss Izzy (two rescues and one big Maine Coon in the middle of my kitty krew)
