Hi

My name is Steve and I live in NW Oregon.  I have been a Bengal breeder for about 12 years now.  I'm a member of TICA. and have a small in home operation.  I have two studs and five queens with one "pet" female.  My girls generally are limited to one litter per year unless they pick the lock on one of the males condo's.

Looking forward to spending some time here The Cat Site.

Welcome to TCS!!  We would love to see pics of your kitties!  I definitely do not have the right type of home for a Bengal; but I do love to look at them. They are just stunning cats!!

My kids are well behaved, they have a few locations that are off limits, fireplace mantel, entertainment center.  Lots of scratching posts, trees, climbing shelves and toys keep them out of mischief.  You do need to baby proof the home like you have a group of three year olds.

I guess I need to figure out how to post pics in this forum, can't use IMG tags.

You can upload pics directly from  your computer with the "Insert Image" button above the dialog box you type in to reply here.  It'll bring up a box for it.

Thanks, I'm used to needing to "host" all pic's.

Some news from here.  One of my new queens Rose, a 14 month old rosetted tabby gave birth.  A single brown tabby male.  Rose came to me at about 8 months of age.  She had been born in a large cattery, then time in another larger cattery.  She was a very timid and afraid to be touched.  She hid in the laundry room for the first four days here.  I suspect she may have been mistreated at one time.  She was so afraid of hands near her head.

Becoming a Mom has caused a 180* change in her.  Over a period of one week Rose has become a very loving girl wanting human touch.  I've had several cats make this change but never so quick, almost like flipping a switch.

Here is a pic of Stud Ringo and Queen Starr.  These two are the founding members.

This morning Rose let me know she does not like me to take her new baby.  A gentle bite and claw.  Baby is doing well, 3.2oz at birth and 4.5 after 36hrs.  With only one it's a milk feast.
