So our wonderful cat Sallie had a litter of 5 kittens yesterday. Sallie is doing great. She lays on them but moves around if the squeak and we are avoiding touching them so not too have too much human contact for now. I have only touched to changed the bedding. Sallie came with our house apparently. We brought our house in January and moved into the house in February and she came in the same day we moved in and hasn't left. The previous owners are in Japan so we believe she might have been theirs because there is a cat flap. I took her to the Vet when we decided she was going to stay which was March and found out she was expecting probably came to us pregnant, so there you have it we have a cat with a litter and she will get fixed when she can. So I don't need anything about being irresponsible. But she had her litter and being a good momma seems healthy and happy taking to vet tomorrow. All days Easter she had them. LOL! So the first born we already named Easter. We have two dogs, a lab and Yorkie, but being Easter my sister in law had brought her Yorkie as she always does when she visits. Well I go in and she charged at the visiting Yorkie, but allowed her brother Yorkie ( my dog) in and my lab in. Is that normal? She did not hiss or swat but she never liked this Yorkie, her first meeting was Valentine's day, and then St. Patrick's day, and the last time spring break. She let the children in but we didn't let them touch as well. I was wondering if I should be worried about the laying on the kittens. I read some of the forms discussion on this, but I saw some say it killed and some not. She is an attentive mother. She has the run of our huge bathroom with two walk in closets. She delivered in one of the closes ts and the whole bathroom is hers to roam without worry so she can get a break when she needs and her litter, food, and water was moved into the bathroom. She is eating fine even her can food just fine. So I was just wondering if I should not even worry? Also if charging a dog and not letting it pass normal as well? She has always been sweet, loving, attentive, and great since she joined us.
