Finally it is Friday, for those of you on this side of the world! What are you doing? Or about to do or doing tonight? for the weekend?

Just finished feeding my son and visiting here in a spare moment. Waiting to receive my DVDs from NetFlix should be today or tomorrow. I rented Lord of the Rings II, Catch Me If You Can, and All About the Benjamins (comedy). Haven't figured out dinner yet, maybe some thai food, not sure. About to drink a cup of coffee. Blaahhhhh zaaay day.
Temperature is 89 but feels 98, will be in the 100s by late afternoon.

We will be going to the first football game of the high school season for my daughters high school tonite, my daughter is in the marching band for the first time this year and they will be performing their halftime program. I'm looking forward to that. As for the rest of the weekend, just keeping an eye on Cham, she was spayed today and I was so worried about her but the vet called and said everything went fine. I had forgotten it was a long weekend so we have no real plans.

Wow, a daily thread! Haven't seen one of these in ages.

I'm working for another 1/2 hour, then heading home for more work. At least the work at home is for personal stuff.

Don't know about the weekend yet. It all depends on how Earl is feeling. He seems to be doing really well today, and he is planning on trying to DJ Saturday night, so we'll see how working and being in a smokey club works on the remnants of pneumonia.

I am going to get some trees for my front and back yard.
Then off to Starbucks for a triple Latte.

I have work I do from home to catch up on, before the long weekend.

Just killing time at work. I finished off two grants this week, and they've been sent out, so I'm relaxing. The Cleveland Air Show is this weekend, and for the past two days the Navy's Blue Angels have been practicing their routine. Our building has a great view-I don't have to go to the show because I've been watching it for free! And this weekend I'm going to relax and work on some stuff for SPA. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

I'm picking up my 2 adoptees tomorrow at noon (Dakota and Sage) and will spend most of the weekend slowly introducing them to the sights, sounds, smells and cats in my house. I might paint the barn if it doesn't rain, and if we can slip out for a few hours on Monday, go to the zoo. We're planning on smoking some ribs sometime over the weekend.

It rained last night for the first time in about 10 weeks, and has cooled down from the hundreds to the eighties. Windows are open and the cats are perched in the windowsills. Beautiful weekend for Kansas City! :-)

Hubby went out of town today, so I'm going to rent a movie tonight...maybe "Elizabeth", I've heard it's
and just sit around, play some mood music, do some spa-type stuff, and veg - maybe even dance around & sing since I don't have to worry about anyone seeing me!

When he gets back tomorrow we'll probably go down to visit family living closer to the coast & go swimming. I'll try not to get a boiled-lobster sunburn this time, too. Still sporting freckles from the last one.

Jellybelly, she plays the clarinet. She had an old one that she played from 6th grade till now, she just entered the 9th and my husband surprised her with a brand new one on Wednesday. She was so excited to get it. I hope she will continue for the next 3 years in band, its hard work, especially with the temps they have to practice in right now but its worth it. She has made lots of good friends in band.

Well we are both pretty excited. We have been together for almost a year and a half and we go crazy when we're not together
Hopefully that wont change

haaaa! yeah, hopefully it won't change when you notice his habits are different from yours:

open cabinet doors
uncovered food in the fridge
dishes piled up in the sink haphazardly
toilet lid up
clothes hanging off chairs
hair everywhere in the bathtub and floor (he sheds more than I do)
etc...the lists goes on...

malynn, that was really nice of your hubby to do that, I know it can be expensive especially buying the reeds/mouthpieces. Buy a whole bunch more of the reeds when it gets cold, they tend to crack pretty easily. I remember this one competition and another football game, it literally became so cold overnight that all of us suffered, we sounded so awful because we weren't used to playing in the cold and I remember hearing the clarinets sounding way off pitch, we really sucked and got the lowest scoring but our band leaders were sympathetic, in this part of Texas, we're not used to the cold like that!!!
Well congratulations, it's a lot of fun going with the band on their trips and competitions, buying the uniforms, the hotel stays, etc, and I made a whole lotta friends in band!!!! Ahhhhh...I miss that!!!

My son is playing the Saxophone , he still got his sax from the first year he started . The Sax is to expensive to buy a new one for him , he is now in 10th grade and is first chair ( best sax player ) .They have the first foodball game next Friday , so he will be marching then .hehehe they always look so cute when they do that .

Today my husband and I went to Savannah , he went in Home Depot and I in Pets Mart . They are next to each other
. I got all my cat food for September now . They had the Feli Way plug in and refill , so I was buying them . It was more money there then on the wepsite , oh well the next time I will get it over the internet or the catalog I order from one of the sites .I got a few more other things in pets Mart and spent & 206.00 dollars there
.Thats not how much I wanted to spent there , oh well cant change that now can I . Then we went for lunch together and after that to Best Buy to look at some printers but did not get any of them . After that we had it for the day and went home . Mike my hubby has to work on the weekends , so we never make any plans to do something .So I will be looking in here a lot
It is fun too

Oh yes, he stays here on the weekends and I have already trained him to close the toilet seat

Movin' on up!
Work wasn't physically hard but, I had a lot of mental stress. I do not deal well with stupid people. One guy was 70+ days past due and his car got repo'd. DUH! He had three pages of notes, on his account, all saying the same thing: told customer to call repo and gave phone number. He must have called and talked to 10 agents, this afternoon.

When I called Bill, at lunchtime, he told me that he had taken off work, two hours early. Since yesterday, the right side of his face has been swollen and painful. Today, it got so much worse, that he called the doctor. He has a sinus infection and looks like he has one-sided mumps. Doc called in a scrip for amoxicillin. If he doesn't feel better, by Sunday, we'll blow off our trip to Tombstone.
