ARUGULA. Yes, arugula.   They've been getting into my indoor "greenhouse", tearing holes in the heavy plastic.  They by-passed the herbs, Red Sails lettuce, buttercrunch lettuce, chives, oregano, etc., and have chewed up all of the 9 arugula and cabbage plants!

They'll be drinking cappucinos next. And demanding I buy them a swank Seattle penthouse suite.

If Frasier and Niles Crane had cats, this is what they'd be eating...

Well, I just noticed that Niles and Frasier have stripped the red cabbage plants of all leaves AND the arugula. I came home to find the 6-plant pot on the floor of the study. Why do we even think about buying them cat treats? Just throw 'em some expensive high-falutin' greens...

Actually, Frasier (Leo) begs for veggies when I chop them, and he and Niles (Nixie, his brother) EAT them.  Fresh green beans are a fave. Oh, and they do have expensives tastes--before we knew they had a craving for veggies, I left a bunch of asparagus in a glass of water, on the counter. When I came home, all of the tips had been gnawed off!

We've got catnip in the yard, so lots of feline visitors, and some have odd tastes. They'll eat all the cranberries or nibble on the oregano. None of them have eaten the arugula, but they'll munch on the lollo rosso.
