Hello Everyone

I'm very new to the site and found you only because my kitty, Lillehammer, has been at the vet hospital since Wednesday.  He has has a very high fever for days now, had some blockage for a few days and hasn't has a bowel movement.  He definitely doesn't seem to have dry FIP, but they haven't completely ruled out the wet kind yet.  Though his lungs seem fine and his tummy doesn't appear to have fluid.  Oddly enough, we're hoping that maybe he tried to cough up an enormous hairball and maybe that has somehow caused the problem.  (I don't know what kind of damage that could've caused along the way maybe a tear or something with lungs or elsewhere, but that's gotta be better than  FIP, right?).  He's only 2.5 years old and a precious little boy.  If anyone has anyone has any ideas or positive experiences with such things, I'd love to hear it.  Unfortunately, I'll read all the negative possibilities (which is why I've been crying since yesterday when I heard the possible FIP and read EVERYTHING).  But I"m really open to good news and stories about alternative outcomes!  I just want my sweetie-boy back with my family.

Please keep your fingers crossed.

Ruth

Here's hoping for good news!  It would sure be easier if cats could tell us what's going on with them.
