Question of the Day, Friday, April 6

Good morning!

DH and I have today off work. He will be working outside today while I clean our messy house. I mixed a double batch of snickerdoodles last night and will bake them today....both DH and my niece love snickerdoodles. Since all the kids are coming home for Easter weekend, I thought I'd make a bit of a treat. I'm also making a couple blueberry buckles for our Saturday morning brunch.

My question for you is: Do you have today (Good Friday) off work? And what do you plan to do today?

Nope, we're working! Although it is a stat holiday here in Canada, it isn't in the US and we work the US holiday schedule. We did take yesterday off though because we had some stuff to do, so that was nice.

I've already done it (it's 11.30pm here) and I did what I'd planned... I'm doing a major house clearing out all over Easter, getting rid of stuff.  I'm going through everything and putting it in Charity Shop or Rubbish piles.  The cats love it.

It's a holiday here, so I cleaned, did some laundry and dyed some eggs.
Spring cleaning is scheduled for next week, but the den is finished. I can actually find stuff in and on my desk again!

I don't work, but I am off school today.   It's almost noon here and so far, all I have done is make cupcakes, have breakfast and do the dishes. I am going to colour my hair soon and then we are going to my moms house for dinner tonight.

Not a holiday for me (not my religion) and I'm working as usual.

It's not a federal holiday, and Postal workers only get federal holidays. But I'm not working today because I hardly ever work on Fridays . I have mostly just vegged around the house so far. I don't know what I'll do the rest of the day. I should scrub some litterboxes. . .

I work as a bartender in a restaurant, weekends (holiday or not) are fairly mandatory for me.

Dead times (big holidays, such as Easter) we close early.

We're off all the time (the joys of being retired)!   

Went grocery shopping - the store was absolutely jammed -- came home and had some work done on our roof.  Some shingles had come loose, so the handyman put a few new ones down, checked the entire roof and made sure everything was ok.    Rainy season (and hurricane season) not too far off so we don't want to take any chances on the roof.

It's Good Friday and the first night of Passover --- so happy holidays to everyone!

I'm a stay at home mom; the job that never ends. 

I had plans to buy paint and chair rail for the new nursery so DH can paint.  And to get to AC Moore to use a coupon before it expired.  I ended up having to take DD to her pediatrician before we could do any of that though.  She broke out in a rash 2 days ago; we think from a new sunscreen I tried on her.  So first we had to do that.  And then get a prescription from the pharmacy.  So it took a lot longer to get the errands done today.  Now I need to go finish clearing off the old desk in the baby's room; but DD isn't napping so I can't go make noise in there... After all that running I'm exhausted...she should be too!

Scrubbing litterboxes is always good! 

If I was still at my job, I would not have gotten Good Friday off. Technically now that I'm unemployed I have everyday off ... not enjoying it like I thought I would!

I went to work with the bf Friday (and all week except Tues), and helped out there all day. The branch manager went and got pizza for everyone for lunch. Went and picked up Nero afterward and brought him to the apartment.

As a teacher I was off as the school was on spring break. However, since I'm a professional musician who plays for the church I had to work. But it was nice the services are always well done. 

My parent's arrived for Easter weekend!!! My hubby had to fly home from out-of-town so he didn't have the day off :nothappy: When I did work - I always had to work on Good Friday. :nod:
