The vet says Tara need a low fat cat food. I feed her paw licken good chicken, which is low fat and grain free. But, I am having trouble finding low fat, grain free dry food. He says it shold be 6-10% fat.Anyone know of one?

Why not just keep her on the Weruva canned? It's low fat and low calorie, no yucky stuff, and packed full of moisture, with adequate protein. :)

Yes, I feed her Weruva daily. I have two cats and they both like to snack on the dry food. My other cat won't eat the Weruva. They are both finicky eaters.

Why does he say Tara needs low fat food?  To lose weight, or for some other reason?  If to lose weight, I would just cut down a little on her portion of the Weruva.  What dry food are you currenty feeding along with the Weruva?

She just got over pancreatitis and advised a low fat diet. She is also allergic to grain.

Then just stick to the Weruva. :) Grain free, low fat, plenty of moisture. It's a bit low in calories, so watch Tara's weight and if she seems to be getting thin, increase her quantity.

She doesn't need any dry food, at all.

Welcome to TCS, by the way.:wavey:

Am looking to reach starseed.  My cat was also just diagnosed having pancreatitis.  I was wondering how her cat is and if she found a proper diet for her.

I am looking for the same type of catfood that starseed was  searching for. Has anyone out there had a cat with pancreatitis?  My cat has a sensitive stomach & needs a grain fee diet & now I also need to find one that is low in fat as well.

The paw licken chicken you currently feed is low in fat and grain free. If she has a sensitive stomach do NOT feed her any dry! Keep feeding what you are feeding, which I presume is by Weruva. Open a thread under HEALTH titled pancreatitis diet!
