I took my Squeaky to the vet for his annual exam and shots today; we discovered that he's allergic to the clumping kitty litter we use.  What kind of non-clumping litter is best for him?  If you have suggestions, please let us know.  Thanks...

The non-clumping litters are basically made of the same things their clumping counterparts are, just the pieces are bigger. What brand are you using? Try a litter that's made of something entirely different--if it's a clay litter, try something like Feline Pine or World's Best or Yesterday's News. If it's a natural litter, try a clay litter, etc.

We have a foster kitty with an open wound in her armpit due to an embedded collar that got caught. She is currently using Feline Pine with great success as of course we don't want litter getting into or sticking to the wound. It has amazing odor control, and seems to be working well thus far. Good luck!
