OMG!! My friend from New York sent my cats the greatest toy....

I don't know if this is the right place to put this but it didn't fit anywhere else... No, it's not Da Bird, which they love obsessively... It's called the Chi-CAT-a Banana aka The Stinky Banana aka Yeoowwwwww Banana.  My cats went NUTS for it!!  Even the ones that have never been enthusiastic for catnip!!  I actually had to take it away from them because they got into a fight over it!!  It was soaked with saliva so much that it was turning green!!  Talk about nuts!!! 



That is what it looks like, sort of... This is after I took it away from them for fighting... As you can probably see, it's slimy with saliva!

Looks like I need to get a few more, at least one for all of them... Geesh... They never fight.  It was frightening!  But this product is very highly recommended by me!!

None of the pet stores near you sell Yeowww catnip toys? You have been deprived!!! (Well, your kitties have! :lol3: ).

Otto, I've had it about 7 years now.  It was a present from another friend.  I keep it to remember a dearly departed kitty. 

Everyone else, no I had never seen them before in this area.  I'd heard about it but never sought them out because really the only one that has ever gone nuts for catnip is Piper.  King Arthur and Morgan La Fay like it some, too.  But don't really go nuts for it.  Phoebe and Paige have never cared at all.  But, with this!!!!!  Whoa!!!!  I went to Petco to get a couple more so they wouldn't destroy it fighting over it like they do!!!  They don't have it in this area.  So I went online and I ordered the Stinky Cigar, Stinky Apple, Stinky Sardines and another Stinky Banana.... And I have put the other away so they don't kill eachother over it waiting on these to arrive!!! 

LOL! That is so funny!  Angel has never gone crazy for cat nip either, I may have to check our Petco for them & test it out w/ him.

All of you kitties are so cute, but I just love Phoebe's little face! I just want to give her kisses! 

Amazon has the yeoww products and many are free shipping with $25 orders. Based on this thread I've ordered the holiday bundle which will give me one toy for each cat, plus a little sample of the loose nip, all for about $20, a savings of about $3 ordering just the toys individually (not counting the little bag of loose nip )

Unfortunately I forgot the other item in my cart was a "preorder" item (a book) which won't be released until July, so the cats have a long wait for their new toys. :lol3:

Angelsmommy, I went to Petco and could not find them.  So I asked the cashier and she said they do not carry them yet.  But, I found this guy on Ebay... Yeah, I was very surprised they all love it as much as they do.  I thought catnip was catnip.  But this is ORGANIC catnip!  Perhaps it makes a difference?  It does smell a lot stronger and it is kind of stinky I guess?  I like the smell of catnip though.  I think it smells like really strong tea but the boyfriend says it stinks to high heaven!  LOL!!

I was so convinced by this thread that I ordered a couple of the Yeowww catnip toys online.  I should be getting them in a couple of days, very excited to see how my kitties will like them.

I"ll be ordering a couple of these next week.  They look like fun and the girls need some new toys.

I just got my 2nd order in today!!  They are having a ball!!  No fighting as they each have their own!!!

I found a little boutique pet store less than 1 block away that sells these toys. I'll be stopping by there sometime today...

A friend of mine sent mine a catnip banana at Christmas. They still love it!

I bought 2 banana toys a couple of years ago, Not sure if it's the same brand as yours.  However, my cats never went for them at all   Abby mildly played with it once or twice, but never with great enthusiasm. And my youngest 2 (twins) don't seem to have the catnip gene at all and aren't enticed with catnip. I've tried a variety of brands, and they couldn't care less.

Hmm, did you buy it at Walmart or Petco/PetSmart?  I am told, that the ones there are not the same?  I got one in the shape of a banana at Petco the other day wondering if it just might be THIS particular brand that gets this type of reaction (most of mine are not big on catnip either, normally just Piper is a lover of it) and the results are they ignore the other brand banana and still love their Stinky Bananas and Cigars!!!  Hmmm, very interesting!!!  I wonder what else they put in it?
