I've been busy de-cluttering the boys' room here, taking out literally boxes of toys and clothes. I sorted everything and thew out the junk, but there was still a lot of stuff in really good condition. I gave that to friends and relatives with young children.

It made me think though - we have the Market Place now, with very convenient features to the listings. If you have re-usable cat-items, or actually anything else, that you'd like to get rid off, you can list it on the Market Place. You can specify the area, or ship it and either sell it as used or give away in return for S&H.

Cool! I thought the Market Place was only for crafts and homemade shops. Hey, if I can have an online yard sale here, I will
 . Within reason, of course.
Absolutely! It's for our community members to interact in a different way. All goods are ok - not just stores/shops and not just cat-related.

This is a really good idea!

I've already done this privately with a few people with non-cat related goods, with excellent results, just by reading threads and approaching people, or people approaching me.

That IS a good idea! We just did spring cleaning recently though and donated a lot of good, new things to the cat rescue group I foster for, to put in their next online auction.
Hopefully they'll raise lots of money for the kitties!
