Question of the Day: Sunday, April 1st

Well, this one is pretty obvious. What was the best April Fool's joke you played on somebody, or had played on you?

My husband played a good one on me a few years ago. He and my MIL went shopping and I got a phone call about an hour after they left. He said they got stopped for speeding (with DH driving, that's not surprising) and MIL got mouthy with the cop (also, not surprising) and got them both arrested! So here I am, trying to frantically get dressed one handed while talking on the cell phone, trying to figure out what I could pawn to pay their bail, when I finally realized what day it was. 

Ok, as I was typing this, DH came in with one of our MegaMillions lottery tickets and told me to go down to the store to check it because he thought we won $10,000. So as I'm jumping up to go to the store he says "April Fool's!". I'm so gullible. Is it April 2nd yet?

My best one was played one before I was born.

This day, 55 years ago, I sent my Mom to the hospital with labor pains. When they got to five minutes apart, they stopped. Since they didn't restart after a while, they sent her home. But as she was leaving, a nurse stopped her and warned her that they would start where they stopped.

Four days later Mom woke to go to the bathroom and her water broke. This time I made my appearance. :baby:

I can't take credit for it; I found it online!  But several years ago I use the "print screen" button on the keyboard to make a copy of DH's desktop on his computer.  I then made that the background and put all his icons into the recycle bin.  So when he went to click on anything they didn't work!  He was kinda mad at me...   But at least I didn't really delete anything!

It doesnt seem to be a huge thing over here, I've never played one or had one played on me

Happy "almost Birthday" Jan! lol. 

Years ago, my dad called me. He said that he had driven by my apartment and saw that my car was wrecked. He asked me what happened. I dropped the phone and out the front door I went. Down three flights of stairs to the parking lot to my car.......and it was fine. There wasn't a mark anywhere. Went back up the steps and my dad is saying "Pam! Pam! Pam!" and laughing. I got back to the phone and he said, "April Fool!"

I never even realized what day it was. (On the way down the stairs, I did wonder, though, if he had driven by the apartment and saw the car, why he didn't stop in.)

My dad was the king of April Fool's jokes. He got me. Every single year. I miss that.
