Here are pictures of the cat that kind of "showed up" (not sure if she was abandoned at our house or just wandered over). Anywho, shes a pregnant stray. I've read there over 3 weeks of age when there nipples turn a pink (dark pink i think i read). Well, when she rolls over i cant really tell because shes kind of fluffy with winter fur. They didn't look pink though, but she is fairly large. Does her size just mean shes got quite a few kittens in there, or does how far she is have something to do with her size? Sorry the pictures are terrible, my phone was messing up, so everytime she rolled over by the time it captured the picture she moved :(. I will try and get more later, i know she may not look big in the pictures, but in person she bulges very widely on both sides (the bugles are about the size of a baseball). What do you guys think? Oh, and we named her Cookie :).

(PS: there is food in her dish, we put food in both sides, and give her a dog bowl full of water. She just already ate the other side lol).

Ok, i just tried posting. It doesn't look like it went threw. So i will try again. Anyways, i have a pregnant stray, and i read that if her nipples are pink she is over 3 weeks along. Well, i can't well tell when she rolls over because her fur is to thick. She wouldn't let me touch her stomach, so its hard to seperate the fur and look. She is fairly large, she has bulges on both sides of her stomach about the size of a baseball. I took some pictures, there not very good because my phones camera was messing up. I will try and get more later tonight, i know she may not look big in the pictures, but she most certainly is. Does her being large have anything to do with if shes 3 weeks or more along? Or does it just mean she has quite a few kittens in there?

She surely looks like more than 3 weeks, all right!

Unless there is som other reason for a big tummy. Worms, fat, etc...

Please tell more who she is!    :)

Good luck!

Welcome to TCS
Thank you for rescuing this girl, she does look rather large and slightly more than 3 weeks, I would say she is due soon, not a vet and have not much experience with pregnant cats. Perhaps you could get a vet just to give her the once over.x

We will call a vet and see how much it will cost to bring her in, we didn't expect on taking care of a pregnant cat, so we don't really have any money set aside for a vet bill. All I know is she's really friendly, and she's been here about a week. Were trying to litter box train her, get her wormed and treated for fleas so we can bring her inside. I to believe she is pretty far along because she is pretty big, but I just wasn't sure.

If you have no other concerns and you are short of cash leave her be, just make sure everything is set up for her to birth. Ask before you worm and flea her if the products are safe for pregnant kitties. A vets visit would be best but I am short of cash myself and know how hard it is. Other people on here will be able to offer you advice on what worm and flea treatments would be best for her. Thank you again for taking her in, she looks like a beautiful cat.x

Well I've done some research on safe products. She seems fairly healthy, no injuries, she's alert, and fairly active for being pregnant. She's sneezed now and then but I figure that's normal with our constantly changing weather, since she's been outside.
