I'm experimenting with litter for my cat, what would you say is the best litter?  And clumping or non-clumping?

I've been going through a bunch of them and I like Dr. Elsey's Respiratory Relief.

Well, that depends? Best for what? Best odor control? Best for not tracking? Best for your lungs? If there were one best litter we wouldn't need the other brands :lol3:.

That said, I'm liking Tidy Cats Breathe Easy right now. World's Best lavender scented isn't bad either but I tend to be allergic to natural products like that.

This sounds silly but I sleep next to the litter box, almost lol  I live in an apartment and the litter box is in the bathroom which is right next to the bedroom.  Is there one good for no dust/respiratory relief like someone said?

I swear by Dr. Elsey's ultra Precious Cat scoopable because it's truly 99.9 dust free as it promises and that's extremely important in our family for kitties and humans as well.

(Several friends switched to it permanently when they tried it and saw just how really wonderful it was. Our family switched to it when someone here on TheCatSite highly recommended it.)

I didn't know Dr. Elsey also had a Precious Cat Respiratory Relief Cat Litter. I imagine it must be a step up from the one we're using.

If I could, I would really like to persuade you to try these cat litters. I don't think you'll have any regrets if you do.

I love that Respiratory Relief one. I really do! It's got herbal essences (NOT essential oils) so it's safe and Finnegan has stopped wheezing and snoring. He wasn't doing it badly but it was noticeable to me. He's breathing fine now. Matter of fact I ran out and can't get any until Tuesday so I'm using Sweat Scoop, he's wheezing a little bit again.

My favorite for multiple cats is a cheaper version of feline pine sold at tractor supply.  Light and makes trash day alot easier.

For cats who wont take that tidy cats non scoopable.

Just wanted to share that in my price comparing this evening I discovered that you can get the 40 lb bag of this SHIPPED for $16.49 no tax! That's even cheaper than hauling it from my local Petco and an enormous discount off what I was paying through Wag.com and Amazon before this. They offer the first 50lbs of your order free with the code shipfree50.

I actually prefer ordering from Wag usually because their 365 day return policy, super fast shipping and customer service is so awesome but for a saving of $13 per 40 lb bag shipped (I pay tax at wag.com too) PetFoodDirect just got my perpetual litter business.

I really like Worlds Best Cat Litter, it is made of corn and scoopable, and cheap. I have 1 cat and bag lasts more than a month.
