This is turning out to be quite the day.  I'm not feeling well at all and beginning the rounds to find out what's going on (unrelated to my recent heart arrthymia issue).  I've not felt well for a couple of days and went to bed very early last night, doing my usual pm medications and wet food feeding. I noticed Denebola wasn't doing his usual dance around me waiting for the food bowl to be put down (he has to be first!) but thought it was because No one gets in Misty's way if she happens to be first, which she was.  I saw him circling the bowl, preparing to stretch out a paw and draw the bowl away from danger aka misty over to him :)

DH did the morning feeding because I was falling asleep (!) in my easy chair, hot packing what's hurting.  He came to let me know that Denebola was just not right - he was crying, not eating, standing over the water bowl not drinking but putting his paw in and batting at the water.  DH took him to our vet as a dropoff, so far all we know is he has a fever, is dehydrated, and was having some breathing issues.

This is my last Curl boy..my last descendant from my wonderful Patrick/Joshua/Chris..and the last cat who is so truly into my dh that he is "daddy's" boy.  I can't bear to lose him today, especially when I have no idea how serious this current issue of mine is.  Please send him some vibes.

Thank you..he's at a specialist (internist) getting an ultrasound..his liver values are off, some signs of infection on right lung.  My finger has been lanced (owwwwwwwww), and I'm waiting for my u/s to be scheduled.  You just can't buy fun like this <insert sarcasm>.

Thank you.  News is getting worse not better, I know we have huge decisions to make today, and don't yet know what we will do. I am probably not going to post again until I know much more.

Well we brought him home.  We decided not to put him through more testing that would require anesthesia and stress him..he let us know when we went to see him at the hospital that it just wasn't time yet.  He's on sub-q fluids until drinking well on his own, and I'm handfeeding him, on an antibiotic and appetite stimulant.  So...love, cheese danish and staying hopeful.
