Our almost 12 week old kitten just got blood taken and tested for feline leukemia and tested negative-good news. Will she need to be ever tested again? Also, she got her second round of first kitten shots. is it normal for her to kinda be not herself, sluggish and sleepy? Worried that she doesn't seem herself. She did eat and play but nothing like she herself. She is very clingy. Can any shed some light on this. I'm worried about her.

Good news on the test results. If she is an inside only cat then there should be no need to test her again as she will not be potentially exposed to it. As for the being sleepy after her shots that is not unusual. You can expect this for about 24hrs after that I would call the vet. My kittens usually sleep the rest of the day away after a visit to the vet for shots.

She has eaten some and played some but has slept and slept.  It makes me so sad to see her just sleep.  :(  I like her full of energy and playing with me. :)

If she both eates and plays some, it is not bad at all.  Some are just sleeping there a couple of days - which shows it was a little too much of course. But what to do?

Good luck!

True.  I had to get her the 2nd shot and checked....but she doesn't understand.  Thanks for the advice.
