What food is best when dealing with UTIs in a female cat? Is it better to feed canned food since it has more moisture? Haze is 11, diagnosed with UTI after ruining the carpet in the dining room. She's now confined until we can replace it - enzyme cleaners haven't worked - but should I stop the kibble and go to canned?

Yes, canned is best. I have a girl with some kind of chronic bladder issue, and the only thing keeping her from squatting all over is an all-wet-food diet. If she gets even a little kibble she gets bladder irritation :/. Which is super inconvenient, but then I have a lot of cats :tongue2:. It'll be easier with just one kitty. So, yes, I'd recommend going to an all-wet-food diet. Hopefully your girl will be cooperative--some kitties are such kibble addicts!

Personally I think an all wet diet would be the best.  That said, that is my opinion only and certainly not veterinary advice
What did your vet tell you to do regarding the cat's diet?

I would feed her an all wet diet. I am thinking there is some percentage you have to look for in the food to help with urine PH, but I could be wrong on that. I agree with Mike, what did your vet say? Probably told you to put her on SD c/d?
