I have a quantity of Feline Alpha Interferon (tuna flavor) that our pharmacist mixed for a cat were attempting to treat after testing positive for FIP.  I have several 100ml unopened bottles left and I will donate them (I just ask that you pay for shipping) to anyone who can use them.

Why don't you contact some local shelters and rescues? Interferon can be very helpful for cats with severe URI and I believe it can also be used to treat parvo. I'm sure that it could be very useful for a shelter. I've seen Interferon work wonders in very sick cats.

I've tried that and this stuff is apparently too cutting edge around here as none of the rescues I've dealt with have any use for it.

Really? This is regular Interferon, right? I know you called this Interferon Alpha. I have a friend who uses it a lot for their URI cats. I'll ask her if she may be interested.

That's what it says on the label.  It is the same as you would use to treat a FeLeuk cat

Alpha Interferon is made from animals not humans, so the cats system can utilize it better.   As far as I know it was only available in Europe?   Offer it at

http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/FeLVPositiveCats/?yguid=393186061, hopefully that link will let you in....   I bet there is someone who could use it there.....

Its a kind offer.....   hopefully someone can use it....

Don't rely on me I guess......   I looked into it further and the special Interferon for cats that is in Europe is    Interferon Omega.   Hope that I didn't mislead anyone...
...

It is still  very useful though !

Hello,

My name is Andrea. I came across your message about having interferon and know you probably don't have it anymore but wondered if you might know where I can get some? I have 10 indoor only cats and recently one of them tested positive for feline leukemia. He is only 8 months old and I also have his sister. I am not sure if they were born with it and still need to have her and the others tested. I am thinking it may have come from a stray kitten I took in a couple of yrs ago. But this has devastated me and my 3 kids. We are so heart broken as they are part of our family. A friend of mine told me about interferon and I am wanting to try to save my kitten as well as any of thers that may have FL. If you could tell me where I may get some of this and any other information like dosage and whatever you know or your own personal experience I would greatly appreciate it. Having 10 cats I am limited on what I can spend and not sure if this stuff is expensive or not. I live in Ohio if that matters any. Please PM me.

Thank you kindly,

Andrea

P.S. If anyone else reads this and can help please send me a PM

Hello RJ3310 I would like to have the interferon you have. I have a little cat that was diagnosed with FIP.  Please PM me with the shipping information if you still have some.

Thank you very much

What is your zip code?I only ask that you pay for shipping and for the ice packs that need to be included in the package, i would suggest over night shipping
