My lovely cat Sophia had kittens a few weeks ago. All five are happy and healthy but there's one undetermined factor. Aunt Luna.

Luna is Sophia's littermate. She's pregnant and bound to go into labor and day now. We recently tried to introduce them but then Luna tries to cart off little Maxy! We promptly separated them, but some how she got to another one and almost made off with her.

Is this normal and if so, why is it happening? Will we ever be able to let them be together?

When they are high preg, they can get touchy. Anything can stress them.  And if if they even suspect this new person / cat / animal may be a threat - they do attack. Of course.

So, dont stress the moma to be, nor the new moma.

Introduce them later on, when everything has cooled down.

It may be so you will not introduce them kittens at all. When new kittens are old enough and mom not longer so protective, the older kittens are old enough to leave...

Possibly it will be OK to let her pal, Sophie, be there.

Keep us updated, do ask questions, comment the others....   :)
