I do polymer clay cats and I also customize barbie dolls. I can't post photos of my work because my computer still won't cooperate! Some of the work shown here in this thread is really pretty!

My little boy Rocky doesn't like to see me do anything that doesn't involve him, so he will come and lay down in my lap and try to make me stop painting, or sculpting. I also think that Rocky has dishonorable intentions towards these fashion dolls I'm collecting, because I have caught him trying to kidnap several of them on numerous occasions.

I love going to craft sales!
Does this count?

I am not much of a seamstress. . . I do like to bake though and can make some damn good peanutbutter fudge. My Christmas specialty!

A friend taught me know to knit last year, and I finally have a clear-ish picture of one of the blankets I've done. It's a very basic stripe pattern, but it was the first blanket I finished.

And you can see my little Spike has claimed it as his own.

And a little bit of a close-up

and the grand ol flag done last summer...

I had also done another one for my MIL but I didnt get a pic, so I took this from the book...

these are all done with crochet, different styles though. I am working on a white tiger for my dad, hopefully to be finished by Christmas. I've gotta get my butt in gear, I am not even halfway done!

rfox, those are really nice.
I'm actually better at knitting than I am at crocheting, but I have more practice at knitting these days.

I haven't yet tried to switch colors in anything yet either... I've learned a couple different stiches in knitting, so I can make textured patterns, but the introducing a new color thing hasn't happened yet.

I have in the past knitted scarves and washclothes and stil am interested in rubber stamping, and paper crafts, folding paper (origami), doing cross stitch (when Faline doesn't get ahold of the thread, LOL) and currently I have taken to doing scrapbooking. I am trying to put together a wedding scrap-book album of my wedding.
Glad to see that there are many crafty peoples here on the Cat-Site.

I love to sew - don't have the patience to knit or crochet, but I have tried from time to time.

My most recent project was sewing a dragon costume for my 2-year old nephew's Halloween costume. I also just finished some patchwork dog beds - I took some pics of them but haven't developed them yet. I still have to get my niece's Halloween costume done - haven't started it yet, but I do have all the fabric and notions. Her costume is the Queen of the Night - a long flowing dress made out of shiny black satin covered with gold cobwebs and spiders.

Stitch and bitch clubs are great fun. I was part of a lunch club doing cross stitch for about 10 years. During that time we had 7 babies, 2 divorces and one spouse commit suicide, not to mention the first tooth, first day of school, first date, and first day of college. Maybe we could figure out a way to do this over a forum?
A friend of mine belongs to a sewing/craft forum, and one year they did a cool thing. Each of them (I think there were 20 or so) designed a quilt block, then made one for each member. Everyone mailed one of their blocks to everyone else in the group, then they each made a quilt out of them. So they all ended up with similar quilts that everyone had contributed to. I thought that was a pretty cool idea.

I'm a little late getting started, but I have just started my cross stitches for Christmas.
I really hope I have time to finish them, otherwise they become Birthday presents. LOL At least the ones I am doing are not Christmas specific this year, so it will work either way.

I finally got started on my niece's Halloween costume, and I think it is going to be a challenge. The fabric she picked out is a black satin with this metallic gold spiderweb pattern on it. It's going to be pretty difficult to work with - even cutting out the fabric was tough. For instance, it's really hard just to poke a pin in to hold the pattern to the fabric.

I do think it will be pretty cool when it's done, and it's the challenging projects that make me better at sewing. But I think I will be busy for the next couple of weeks...

I buy the plain wood picture frames from IKEA they are like 3 for 2.95 and I paint and decorate them. I got a friend of mine into doing that too. Its fun and nice to display your pictures in something you made.
